Missing Ye Old Times

Recently I just got offered for matriculation studies at one of the centres close by to my home. At least closer than those from other states. But it's just Plan B, hopefully Plan A works out so that I don't have to think too much for Plan B preparation.

Tonight while eating roti canai and surfing the Internet, I played one of the songs posted by a friend of mine.
There was nothing in particular that this song reminds me of any moments, but the rhythm made me reminisce my childhood memories as a student, from kindergarten till the last days in secondary school.

I really missed the days when the world around you are just mysteries, waiting to be explored. Imaginations become your universe. Friends, especially classmates, are your survival necessities in surviving lectures (no offense teachers, only some), having good laughs, sharing interests and experiences, someone to share your burden with. Although we all will still make new friends in the future, we still miss the old days because they are unique in their own ways and experiences. It is what makes a photo of the past, worth a thousand words.

To my school friends, I wish you all the best in your further studies. I believe in you all that you have chose the right path for yourselves and that you are happy with it. Life greatest rewards are granted when you have the utmost positive attitudes in dealing with people and the environment. So, stay positive. :)

Self - Perception

It's not who you are that holds you back, It's who you think you're not.

Opinion : Since you know who you are, like you're a student or a brother, a cheerful volunteer or a kind person, these things would already be part of your personality. Stuff that you think you are not made of, like a brave person or a smart guy, are really the ones that are preventing you from reaching your full potential.

Try listing down what positive ideas, talents and values that you think you're not, and check it off your list by doing it today.

To be a knight, you must act like a knight.

Opinion : At first glance, some might reason it as dressing like one, as in having the accent, the armour, the sword, and the helmet. These things are really just something the eyes would feast on, although it is still important, but as secondary choice. What the quote really meant was that you must have the value a knight would have - bravery, willing to serve and protect, skillful, strong, and loyal. These are the first and foremost things that make up a knight, and the dressings and weaponry would be a follow up.

Are you a student or a teacher? If you are a student, write down the values that would mould a true student, and apply it to yourself. You may do the same for other characters of yourself if you are not a student.
